Ski and snowboard holidays at Kamui Ski Links, Hokkaido, Japan
Kamui Ski Links is a ski holiday area located in the Northern island of Hokkaido. It shares a ski pass with the nearby ski holiday resort of Furamo and offers gentle skiing with a great snow record and some impressive off-piste tree skiing.
The base station and car park at Kamui Ski Links offers a number of lifts as well as a restaurant and ski hire complex. The skiing above the base station tends to be gentle with wide pistes often covered by excellent snow. Beginners have some easy terrain around the base station whereas the main gondola at Kamui Ski Links allows access to a reasonable variety of intermediate cruisers.
From the top of the main gondola there are some impressive off-piste descents at either edge of the Kamui Ski Links terrain or else through the trees that separate the pistes. The local trees are birch and form quite a dense cover leading to some pretty demanding turning.
The Kamui Ski Links ski area is good for beginner skiers but is too small to entertain intermediate skier for too long. Advanced skiers and boarders will enjoy the off-piste which benefits from superb dry snow accumulations throughout the winter months in Kamui Ski Links.
